Help desk for iTaoBuy food parcels: glossary, answers, contacts
Who can help with what, the terms you will meet, and eight short answers drawn from iTaoBuy’s own documents.
People who can actually see your parcel

For anything about your own order or parcel, the people who can help are at iTaoBuy. The help centre has an online chat listed as “7x24 Hours Online Support”; the email for customer service is [email protected]. For a food question, the notice states a reply target of one business day.
Something goes wrong more often between steps than inside one: a seller ships late, a date turns out shorter than the listing suggested, a route disappears. Message the buyer while the order is still in the warehouse; after the parcel ships, changes are mostly out of reach.
For mistakes on this site, write to [email protected]. We answer questions about our readings and sources, not about accounts.
Words you will meet, explained
A short glossary of the terms on this site and in iTaoBuy’s own pages. Abbreviations such as GL and RL come from shoppers, not from iTaoBuy.
- QC photos
- Warehouse photos of your item before storage, described by iTaoBuy as 3 to 6 fixed-angle shots.
- GL and RL
- Green light and red light: shopper shorthand for an acceptable result or a concern after looking at QC photos. Neither submits a return or changes its eligibility; contact the buyer separately.
- GI number
- iTaoBuy’s number for each item in your warehouse; parcels and claims refer to it.
- Sanwu
- “Three withouts”: no production date, no quality certificate, no manufacturer details. Forbidden by the food notice.
- Production date
- The date the food was made. Add the printed shelf life to get the expiry.
- Best-before date
- A printed expiry date. The notice accepts it in place of a production date.
- Non-Meat Food
- The estimator sub-category for most snacks, sweets, tea and noodles.
- Postal route
- HZ-prefixed lines run with China Post: you clear customs and pay duties; no Worry-Free cover.
- Worry-Free Shipping
- Optional cover per parcel, priced at 3% of freight plus goods value.
- List price
- The route price before coupons; the figure this site quotes.
